Chincoteague Island

My blogs will be all over the place for a while. I was trying to write them down in order but I do not have a lot of time on my hands now so I am hammering these out as I go along.

So just read and enjoy, stop your bitching and moaning.

I would suggest to anyone to go visit

the island. As you can see from the

mapsit is rather small and easily maneuverable.

There is not a lot to do so if you are looking for excitement and tons of activities then you might not like it there. But you are looking for some relaxation and a place to just get away from it all you can find it here.

Pictured here is the draw bridge that leads you over to the island.

unfortunately I never got to see it in action.

There are tiny shops for gifts and souvenirs. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. There is even miniature golf.

Most shops and restaurants are within walking distance (depending on where you are staying)

They have scooters, bicycles and even little cars you can rent to get around the island if you don't want to drive your vehicle or don't have a vehicle.

Aren't those cars cute!!!

You have the wild life preserve where you can walk the trails. Check out the wild ponies and the lighthouse.

Of course there is my favorite (The Beach).

Lots and lots of sand, sun and ocean to help melt the stress away.

Just laying there soaking up the sun, listening to the waves crash upon the shore was enough to sooth me. I also enjoyed people watching. I took tons of photos which you will be seeing in other blogs.
